The old paper stockroom (Jyldis) in Saarlouis is nowadays unused and totally empty. So we got the task to find a solution for both one office block or one housing complex.
The concept of the office block was to offer a huge area of working space without too many architectural interventions in existant building. So I just opened one small square in the middle of the building to have access to the outdoor and catch the sunlight. The whole building is divided vertically into 8 offices, 4 on each floor. 4 of them share one mutual main entrance to have access to the offices. The focus in the interior was on the wall that contains alle the supplying rooms. This wall is made like a long wrinkled surface that hides all the constructive columns and give the long hall way a unique appearance that offers also open space for communicative areas like the kitchen.
