The capital city of „Saarland“, called „Saarbrücken“, was searching for an infopoint that contains all relevant information concerning their local construction site.

My answer was a simple black building block. Four different coloured volumes were taken from the exterior shape.

These I-shaped steles were equipped with cameras on the top. So visual shoots from the construction site were directly sent  to the infopoint. The advantage of this idea was the independent location of the building. So even when the construction site changed its current position the infopoint could rest on its place. It was even better for the visitors not to get too close to the construction. 

Inside the building they have the possibility to get informed by visual animations, city models and auditive stories. The city model also shows the current location of the four webcams in the city. Pushing one of the coloured dots starts a presentation on the info panel that informs the visitors about the progress of the construction site.
