The old paper stockroom (Jyldis) in Saarlouis is nowadays unused and totally empty. So we got the task to find a solution for both one office block or one housing complex.

Due to the huge volume of the building I decided to create an inner courtyard to get a lo tof light into the middle supply all the apartments with enough daylight. From this area you have direct access to all the several flats that are almost equal in their size. Each appartment has either a terrace or a balcony. So you can spend time in the inner garden and get into conversations with your neighbours or you can close your door and enjoy your privacy.
