In constructive design I developed a concept for a serial house in Kassel. The place where it should be built was in the garden and is defined by a brickwall and a U-shaped clip made out of concrete. The extension starts at the buildings outer wall in the ground floor and goes to that U-shaped clip. So the floor plan gets a L-form. In my realisation the kitchen gets opened. Next to it you find the place for dining, to achieve an open communication. In the end of the extension is the place of the living room that is 2 steps underneath ground level. So the area of the extension gets split. This difference in level is also shown in the roof of the building. The existing concrete clip was extended on one side to install a fireplace. To open the border between inside and outside I decided to make use of a picture window between the extension and the garden.
